Athena Scott, Acori Honzo, Thomcat23’s “Turning Heroes into Heroes”
Resident artists Athena Scott, Acori Honzo, and Thomcat23 are celebrating Black American heroes by transforming them into comic book superheroes in an exciting new group exhibition Turning Heroes into Heroes.
The perfect fusion of history and popular culture, this exhibition is sure to leave you in awe as some of the Pier’s most talented artists come together to honor the icons that have inspired them.
Composed of mixed-media works, this exhibition will feature pieces that show the metamorphosis of a hero to a comic book superhero through portraits, 3D sculptures, and faux comic book covers.

Please Note: Construction for the exciting Delaware River Trail is happening along Columbus Boulevard. The project is making headway and will result in a stunning multi-use trail that will increase accessibility to the Waterfront. The trial is scheduled for completion in Fall 2021.
