2022 DesignPhilly Kids Fest!
Join us for the DesignPhilly Kids Fest on October 15 and October 16 at Cherry Street Pier. Admission is free. All ages.
The DesignPhiladelphia Kids Fest is a weekend and festival experience bringing architecture and design to our youngest visitors and their caretakers through fun and creative activities at the Pier.

Read and Make
Saturday, October 15, 11 am to 1 pm
Learn more about design and practice your reading skills during story time. Build structures and models from found objects or create pattern designs inspired by their surroundings—recommended for ages 5 to 12.
Walls for Justice Open House
Saturday, October 15, 12 pm to 8 pm
Sunday, October 16, 12 pm to 8 pm
Stop by Studio 8 and get to know Cherry Street Pier artist in residence Walls for Justice, whose mission is to push the future forward by creating positive change through art that supports social justice issues, and helps people and communities feel empowered.

Saturday, October 15, 10 am to 3 pm
Sunday, October 16, 12 pm to 3 pm
The workshop will include special Sunkits provided by Memekidsware a clothing brand from Los Angeles. The Sunkits will allow each child to create visual art using only the sun, water, paper, and any accessories you’ll like to add to your design. Appreciate for children up to 12.
Design your own Pals Socks
Saturday, October 15, 11 am to 12 pm
Sunday, October 16, 11 am to 12 pm
Pals creates socks that don’t match but go perfectly together. In this workshop, you will learn about color and design choices, do some creative concepting, and experiment with different materials to create your very own pair of mismatched Pals you can take home. Recommended for ages 4+.
STICK-LETS® Fort Building – Kids Fest!
Sunday, October 16, 12 pm to 3 pm
Join us for fort building using the flexible stick connectors (STICK-LETS®) and your imagination. Create 3D sculptures while tapping into your creativity. Recommended for children ages 6 to 10.
