We Are the Seeds Philadelphia 2021
Join us for We Are the Seeds Philadelphia 2021, a day-long celebration of Indigenous arts and cultures, presented by We Are the Seeds of CultureTrust on Saturday, June 26 from 12 pm to 5 pm at Cherry Street Pier.
Based in Philadelphia, We Are the Seeds of CultureTrust is an Indigenous women-led, non-profit organization that is committed to amplifying Indigenous voices through the arts.
In its second year, We Are the Seeds Philadelphia 2021 will bring together a variety of different cultural experiences such as a fine art show, music performances by singer/songwriter Jennifer Kreisberg, dance performances by the We Are the Seeds Native American dance troupe, The Magic of Storytelling with Internationally known jewelry designer Tchin, and a cornhusk, doll-making workshop by fashion designer Dawn Spears (Narragansett/Choctaw), as well as feature children’s book author Colleen Farwell.
Attendees will also enjoy live painting by Priscilla Bell (Taino), a photo exhibition featuring works by Benjamin West (Otoe-Missouria), and film screenings curated by the American Indian Film Institute.
Don’t miss this celebration on June 26 from 12 pm to 5 pm. The event is free and open to the public. Suggested donation is $10.
