Soapbox Zine Workshop Series presented by Cherry Street Pier and Little Baby’s Ice Cream

Saturday
October 5
2019
Location: Studio 5
Time: 11am to 2pm

The Soapbox, a West Philadelphia based nonprofit offering letterpress, screen printing, bookbinding, and papermaking studio space will team up with Little Baby’s Ice Cream to offer a series of drop-in workshops at Cherry Street Pier every first Saturday of the month from August through October.

At Cherry Street Pier, The Soapbox will offer three zine-making sessions, where visitors will have the opportunity to learn about this unique form of alternative publishing and make their own handmade zines. Zines are a form of alternative, often handmade, books, magazines, or essays. They offer a unique way to express concepts and share ideas. Participants will be able to drop by the program and make a zine of their own, spending as long or as little time as they like. Little Baby’s Ice Cream will be sponsoring the program by offering participants a free baby scoop of ice cream after they make their zine.

Join us for one, two, or all three dates:
