Join resident artist Bonnie MacAllister for specialty workshops to learn different dyeing and fabric techniques. All skill levels. Registration required. Workshops take place in Studio 16 in the Pier.

January 4, 2025, 2 pm – 4 pm: Introduction to Nuno Felting – Create a Scarf
Learn how to transform farm-sourced fibers into an original garment. All materials included. All ages and abilities are encouraged. Nuno felting is making a new textile by combining loose weave fabric with natural fibers such as farm-sourced mohair from goats or merino wool from sheep. Visitors will learn how to create textures in layers and imagery in surface design in this no-sew process. Cost: $35. Register today.

January 12, 2025, 2 pm – 4 pm: Botanical Printing – Design Cotton Kerchief Headband using Flowers
Learn fabric design using fresh and dried flowers to create a one-size wearable bandanna/kerchief/headband. It keeps the sun off the top of your head and the hair out of your face. Enclosed elastic back. 100% cotton jersey sewn with cotton thread for perfect dyeing. Use fresh and dried flowers to create an original design. All abilities are welcome. Cost: $25. Register today.
