Gravy Studio’s “In These Strange & Uncertain Times”

September 2–October 2
2022
Location: Cherry Street Pier
Time: Pier Operating Hours

Join us for Gravy Studio’s In These Strange & Uncertain Times on September 2 through October 2 at the Pier.

This photography exhibition, as part of the 20/20 Photo Festival, emphasizes the importance of supporting others and caring for the community.  Liz Jelsomine curated this show featuring three BIPOC Philly (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) photographers who document their communities around them in their own unique ways: Adrian René, Kevin Bass (co-founder of Homies Helping Homies,) and Mario Cabral.

An opening reception will be held on September 2. There will be a photo booth, refreshments, a raffle, and items for sale – all to benefit Homies Helping Homies, a mutual aid effort in Southwest Philadelphia. There will be a bin where visitors can donate various personal care items for community members, too.
