Diwali at Cherry Street Pier

November 6
Location: The Market
Time: 2 pm to 5 pm

Join us in celebrating Indian dance and music at Diwali at Cherry Street Pier.

Wondering what Diwali is? Curious about Indian, classical dance, and music? Come explore a timeless form of Indian dance as Usiloquy Dance Designs produces its first-ever Diwali event. Savor a variety of offerings from Usiloquy’s repertoire of classical Bharatanatyam dance and the cross-cultural contemporary form that Usiloquy has helped pioneer.

Delight in the dulcet sitar of Philadelphia’s Devi Majeske. Marvel at Vidya Shyamsundar’s rangoli, an elaborate and elegant floor mandala. Capture the moment by taking selfies against the festive background wall.

This event is sponsored by the City of Philadelphia’s Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy.

The event is pay-as-you-wish. Register today!

Showtimes: 2 pm to 3 pm and 4 pm to 5 pm
