Celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month at Cherry Street Pier with three performances throughout April presented in partnership with the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy (OACCE) and the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC).

Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble
Friday, April 2 at 5 pm to 7 pm
Led by bassist and educator Warren Oree, the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble has been improvising and innovating on stages around Philadelphia and the world since 1979. The ensemble features an eclectic array of jazz styles with influences from R&B, rock, Afro-Cuban, and Brazilian, telling a unique story as only Arpeggio can.

The Emerging Artist Jazz Jam
Saturday, April 3 at 1 pm to 3:30 pm
Celebrate some of Philadelphia’s most exciting emerging jazz artists! Luke Carlos O’Reilly is joined by Arnetta Johnson, Lee Mo, and Nick Lombardelli at this special performance that coincides with Jazz Philadelphia’s new programs to support students, emerging artists, and our city’s jazz elders. This performance is presented in partnership with Jazz Philadelphia.

“Swing Ahead” Quintet
Sunday, April 18 at 1 pm to 2 pm
Enjoy the sounds of this jazz ensemble featuring Luke Carlos O’Reilly on the keyboard, Lee Mo on vocals, Nimrod Speaks on bass, and Anwar Marshall on drums. Presented in partnership with the Philadelphia Musicians’ Union.
