Although we’ve had to make some tweaks to how we ‘do summer’ on the Philly Waterfront, one thing is certain – fun awaits. So, kick back, #MaskUpPHL, and scroll through our guide to find out how you can safely stroll, sip, and eat your way through the city’s best outdoor destinations!  #MyPhillyWaterfront
FIRST STOP

Start your stroll with a snack, cold brew, and breathtaking views from the River Beer Garden located between Race Street Pier and Cherry Street Pier. There’s no reservation required to catch a quick vibe while relaxing under a canopy with a good read. And when your tummy starts talking (‘cause you know it will) saunter just a few feet for award-winning Indonesian cuisine from one of Philly’s hottest eateries, Hardena.

You can also make a reservation at The Garden at Cherry Street Pier, a specialty pop-up designed with physical-distancing in mind. Enjoy the vistas while sipping handcrafted beers and savoring bites from a Philly-inspired menu. Soft pretzel with horseradish mustard, anyone? Don’t forget RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Make yours today!

Stretch your legs by wandering the Pier to meet our NEW cohort of resident artists at work. From creative storytellers, painters, mixed media artists to musicians, filmmakers, and product designers, there is an artist that is sure to inspire you. You’re bound to spark up a unique conversation and take a very cool piece of art back home with you, too.
NEXT STOP

There’s more fun where that came from! Burn off a few calories with a 5-minute stroll to a reimagined Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest. Here you’ll find a Ferris Wheel, mini-golf, and boardwalk games. (PS: Our team works round-the-clock to make sure you are safe with special signs to help you practice physical-distancing and by regularly sanitizing all our outdoor equipment).

Plus, this year, we’ve replaced the roller skating rink with a ‘city beach’ where you can chill at physically-distanced picnic tables under giant umbrellas and enjoy the perks of the sand without the worry of shore traffic. Add Crabfries from Chickie’s and Pete’s and Funnel Cake from Skelly’s Amusements, and you have yourself a perfect staycation retreat.
LAST STOP

Nighttime is the right time to skip 5 minutes down the Waterfront to the ultimate urban oasis – Spruce Street Harbor Park Sustained by Univest.  Experience the magic of “Univest Presents Bright Lights, Our City” a brand new light installation programmed on the iconic hanging lights at the Park.  With a wave of a hand over a touchless kiosk, you control the light patterns and color palettes that illuminate the trees. Cravings kicking in? We’ve got walk-up food options from Chickie’s and Pete’s, Village Burger, Buena Onda, and the newest sweet spot, French Toast Bites.

Or, make a reservation at the Water Garden, a new pop-up restaurant on the floating barges, featuring physically-distanced seating with awesome views of the Delaware River.
