Join us for the official launch of Being Beloved, a powerful new Philly-born podcast that uplifts the voices of women reentering society after incarceration. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Delaware River Waterfront, this community-focused evening weaves together audio storytelling, intimate panel conversations, and lightning talks from local media and justice organizations. The event is free and open to the public – for all ages.

What to Expect

  • 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Arrive early for light music, mingling, and community connections

  • 6:30 PM – 6:40 PM: Opening remarks and reflections on what Being Beloved means

  • 6:40 PM – 7:00 PM: Exclusive sneak peeks from the podcast, featuring authentic voices and stories

  • 7:00 PM – 7:30 PM: A heartfelt panel exploring identity, reentry, motherhood, and hope

  • 7:30 PM – 7:45 PM: Quick-fire intros from local orgs using media for justice

  • 7:45 PM – 8:00 PM: Final reflections and a call to action from Shameka Sawyer and Kaia Shivers
