Location: Cherry Street Pier
Time: Pier Operating Hours

Join us for “Seeing the Anthropocene” Curated by Julia Clift on display from October 28 through December 2 at the Pier.

“Seeing the Anthropocene (StA)” is a cross-venue exhibition curated by Philadelphia-based artist Julia Clift, featuring diverse artists and collaborative groups contending with the global climate crisis and other urgent environmental issues. Through wide-ranging media, the included artworks foster understanding of the moment we’re in, inspire personal connections with the natural world, and imagine different potential futures depending on how we act today. The show features artists from across the country, as well as international perspectives.

Schedule
Exhibition Opening: Saturday, November 4, 6 pm to 8 pm with a live performance by ENAensemble at 6 pm.

Featured artists at the Pier include Lydia CheshewallaHui-Ying Tsai, and Austen Camille (with music by ENAensemble), whose works will encourage a personal connection to the natural world and help audience members to see themselves as part of nature rather than above it.

A portion of this exhibition will also be on display at Tiger Strikes Asteroid Gallery, located at 1400 N American St #107, Philadelphia, PA 19122.
