ColorWheels with Maureen Duffy
Friday, July 16, 6 pm to 9 pm
Fleisher’s mobile art studio delivers creative experiences directly to sites throughout Philadelphia. The van is equipped with the tools and supplies needed for Fleisher’s teaching artists to guide community members in hands-on culturally inspired mini-workshops, collaborative public art projects, and art technique demonstrations. This activity will be led by Fleisher Faculty member Maureen Duffy.

In addition to the ColorWheels event, Fleisher is partnering with The Clay Studio who will be bringing Pottery Unplugged: Bicycle Powered Pottery Wheel, a program that runs on a people-powered pottery bike, affectionately called BIKELANGELO, to bring relaxed and mindful art-making directly to the public.

ColorWheels with The Clay Studio: Claymobile — CANCELED
Friday, July 30, 2 pm to 4 pm
We are bringing our mobile art studio back for one final hurrah to wrap up our series of events at Cherry Street Pier. A Fleisher teaching artist will provide an artmaking activity alongside The Clay Studio’s Claymobile who will be offering Pinch Pot Animal Sculptures: Create where guests can create a sculpture of their favorite animal, pet, or made-up creature using air-dry clay. Participants will be guided step-by-step through creating a pinch pot to decorate with animal features. Sculptures are yours to keep and decorate.

The Clay Studio’s Clay Mobile will be joining us on Friday, August 6 for First Friday from 6 pm to 8 pm.
